Scrabble
Scrabble is an online lottery scratchcard game from the National Lottery. It is based on the famous Scrabble board game that has been played worldwide for decades, and which is still as popular as ever. The Scrabble scratchcard game can be played for free if you just want to have some fun, or you can pay £2 for a cash game and win up to £75,000!
The odds of you winning a prize playing the Scrabble scratchcard are 1 in 4.49, and the lowest prize you can win is £2, which would obviously give you your money back, but there are fifteen higher prize levels, with the £75,000 Scrabble jackpot sitting at the top of the stack.
It doesn’t matter how good you are at the original Scrabble game because the outcome of each Scrabble scratchcard is determined by luck rather than skill. When the game is launched it presents you with a Scrabble board and populates it with eight words. At the foot of the game screen are seven Scrabble tiles, each of which conceals a different letter of the alphabet. You click a tile to reveal the letter underneath and every matching letter on the Scrabble board is marked. The tile you used is then replaced and you get to pick another from the refreshed batch of seven.
You get to pick seven Scrabble tiles in all, but you can win extra goes by getting two doubles. The aim is to mark a complete word on the Scrabble board, and the longer that word is, the more you win. Mark every letter in the longest word and you win £75,000! There are also instant win prizes for finding a blank Scrabble tile and getting three triples.
One of the things we love about this Scrabble scratchcard game is that it really makes you feel as if your choice of tiles determines the outcome. This elevates what is a genuine game of luck into something much more interesting, and you won’t be able to help yourself pondering over which Scrabble tile you will choose next!
When reviewing this game we played three times and won one of them, beating the odds of 1 in 4.49 and making a small profit in the process. Try your own luck and see if you can do any better – you’re sure to have plenty of fun trying!
