Poker King
Poker King takes the hugely popular game of poker and makes it fun and enjoyable for those of us who like to focus on playing online scratchcards. The Poker King game can be played at both Hopa and Scratch2Cash, and you can play for free to try it out or you can play for real and give yourself a chance of winning up to £200,000. As with all sports-based scratchcards (yes, poker is technically a sport) you don’t need to know the rules to have a lot of fun playing or to win decent amounts of cash – just scratch the panels.
The Poker King scratchcard shows a poker table surface with five cards at the top of the card that belong to your opponent. Seven cards at the bottom of the card are the ones that you will play with. At the top left of the card is a results table that will show your opponent’s final hand and your own final hand. Underneath is a scratch panel that hides the amount of prize money that you are playing for.
When you launch the Poker King online scratchcard game a fresh set of cards will be dealt. Two of the opponent’s cards will be face-up and the other three face-down. Two of your cards will be face-up and the other five are scratch panels. Since poker requires you to make a five-card hand, your job is to scratch three of the five card panels to reveal the cards underneath. Your three scratched cards and the two face-up cards will then be combined to form your final five-card hand.
As you scratch each of your three chosen cards (from the five scratch panels available) your opponent will reveal another of his cards so that by the time you have finished you have both got a final hand. Those hands are then compared and if your hand beats the hand of your opponent, you win the amount hidden under the Prize panel mentioned previously (the one located under the results table).
The normal rules of Texas Hold’em poker are used to determine whether you or your opponent have the best hand, so three of a kind beat a pair, a flush beats three of a kind, and so on.
