Money Machine
We wondered when it would happen and it finally has – Money Machine is an online scratchcard at the National Lottery site that is designed to give you your very own lottery experience! The Money Machine that the game is named after draws eight lottery numbers and if you match three or more of those numbers then you will win a cash prize. There is also the chance to win an instant cash prize if one special lottery ball is selected, and we will explain how that works a little later. The Money Machine online scratchcard has a row of eight yellow star panels and various prize tabs on the left hand side and the money machine itself is situated on the right hand side. When you start the game your first task is to scratch each of the yellow star panels to reveal the lottery number that is hidden underneath. When you have revealed all eight lottery numbers you can start the money machine by pressing the button marked Star Draw.
The money machine in this game is fully animated, so you will see the lottery balls tumbling around inside the transparent machine before eight numbered balls are selected one by one. As each numbered ball is drawn it travels along a tube and comes to rest under the prize tabs on the left of the game card. If any of your lottery numbers match the numbers that are selected by the money machine then these will be circled as the game progresses.
If a special £10 ball is selected by the money machine then you will win £10 instantly. To win other cash prizes you will need to match three or more lottery numbers. As in a real lottery game, the more numbers you match correctly, the bigger your cash prize will be, and if you match all eight numbers you will win the £20,000 jackpot!
When you consider the fact that online scratchcards have their roots in offline scratchcards, which were in turn created primarily by lottery organisations, it is a tad surprising that a blatantly lottery-themed game like Money Machine didn’t come along sooner. The good news is that Money Machine is here at last and it is a game that online scratchcard players everywhere are sure to appreciate.
