Knights Battle is an online scratchcard reworking of the traditional playing card game known as War. When you launch the Knights Battle online scratchcard game you will see six pairs of cards face-down on a medieval map. The attention to detail here is fantastic, with parchment textures and medieval weapons helping to set the scene before you have even started. One card in each pair is labelled Dealer and the other is labelled You, and you can play 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or all 6 pairs at the same time – simply adjust the Number of Pairs setting accordingly. The minimum real cash stake on each pair is just 50p, so playing all available pairs needn’t break the bank by any means.
Having selected your stake and the number of pairs that you want to play, click the Play button and the cards will be turned over. Each card bears an illustration of a medieval character and has a numerical value in the top left corner. In any given hand, if the value of the card assigned to You is greater than the card assigned to the Dealer then you will win the prize amount that is shown underneath that hand.
Because the chances of any hand winning are 1 in 3, and because you can play up to six hands simultaneously, it is possible to win multiple prizes with just once click of the Play button. Our best (and most exciting) performance was getting five winning hands out of six, but six out of six is perfectly possible so that is something we will definitely be pursuing in the future!
Whenever you win a prize you will be treated to a medieval fanfare and a knight will ride across your screen on horseback to celebrate the achievement. To be honest the prize money would have been quite enough for us, but this additional flourish makes winning even more exciting, so do look out for it.
