Farm a Fortune
Farm a Fortune is one of those unique instant win games at the National Lottery site that requires a bit more interaction than simply scratching a few panels and hoping for the best. If you are looking for a game that is over within ten seconds of starting then Farm a Fortune isn’t for you, but if you like your online scratchcards to give you maximum value for money and to be as entertaining as they are potentially rewarding. Farm a Fortune will fit the bill very nicely. Each game costs just £2, offers a top prize of £50,000 and gives you a 1 in 3.57 chance of winning any prize at all.
The Farm a Fortune instant win game takes place on a farmyard that has a number of square spaces laid out in a roughly rectangular shape. Some of the spaces are empty but most of them contain a symbol, a cash prize amount, a bale of hay or a mini game. A large tractor is in the background on the left of the game card and a huge barn serves as a prize board in the background on the right of the card.
When you start the game you are represented by a farmer on a square at the bottom of the screen. In the bottom left corner is a pair of dice and you have six rolls to begin with. Click on the dice to roll them and the farmer will walk that number of spaces in a clockwise direction. What happens next depends on what the space he lands on contains:
- Land on one of the various farmyard symbols and this will be added to the prize board at the top right. Complete a line of symbols and you win the prize associated with that line.
- Land on a bale of hay and this will be placed on the back of the tractor at the top right. Collect two bales for an instant prize of £7 or three bales for an instant prize of £15.
- Land on a cash prize amount and you will win that prize amount instantly.
- Land on a mini game space and you get to play a mini game which will naturally have a farming theme (for example, measuring out milk in the cow shed). Win the mini-game and you will win a mini-prize which could, you’ll be pleased to hear, help you to win a much bigger prize in the main game.
When one of the above actions have taken place (or if you land on a space where no further action is initiated) you proceed to take another roll of the dice, and you repeat this process until all of your dice rolls have been used up. At that point the game ends and any prize(s) that you have won will be paid to you.
Featuring brilliant cartoon-style graphics and a farmyard full of audio effects, Farm a Fortune really does entertain. And with a £50,000 jackpot up for grabs, we don’t think that anyone needs a better excuse to pay this particular farm a visit!
