Disco Keno
Disco Keno is an online scratchcard game at Hopa which combines the unflagging appeal of scratchcards with the popular game of keno and a funky disco soundtrack. The game is colourful, musical, can be played at two different speeds and offers up to £200,000 in prize money. As if all of that wasn’t enough, you can play up to eight cards at once. Your chances of winning a prize with a single card are 1 in 3, so Disco Keno could enable you to win again and again!
The upper half of the Disco Keno game screen shows a large board containing the numbers 1 to 80. The bottom half of the screen shows eight game cards. You can play anything from 1 to 8 online scratchcards at once and you can bet anything from 50p upwards on the cards that you have selected. When you have tweaked the settings to suit you, press the Play button to start the game.
When the game begins, each of your active game cards will be revealed. Each card shows 15 numbers, and you are aiming to match as many of these as you can with the balls that are drawn by the Disco Keno machine. 20 balls will be drawn at random from the range 1 to 80, and as each ball is drawn it is noted on the large numbers board at the top of the screen and on any of the game cards that show that number.
You will win a prize on any game card that matches two or more numbers (match all 15 to win the jackpot!) and it is perfectly possible to have multiple winning cards. We routinely played all eight cards when researching the game for this review and on several occasions we managed to get five winners at once, sometimes winning several hundred times our stake!
We mentioned earlier that you can play Disco Keno at two different speeds. When you play at the default speed then the whole game takes around 20 seconds to complete (because balls are drawn at an approximate rate of 1 per second. If you would prefer the game to play faster then you can press a Turbo button, and when you have done that each game will take just over 10 seconds to complete.
No review of Disco Keno would be complete without reference to the disco music that plays throughout the game. This is upbeat and enjoyable and ties in well with the rhythmic selection of the keno balls. That said, if you find that the music gets too repetitive for your taste (something that could be experienced if you play for long periods of time) then you can click a mute button to turn it off.
To summarise, Disco Keno is a great game that gives you the chance to win multiple prizes by playing multiple cards simultaneously. If you are a fan of keno then you will love Disco Keno, and if you have yet to play keno then Disco Keno will make you a fan in record time!
