Crazy Ball
Crazy Ball is an online scratchcard game at Hopa that goes where no online scratchcard has gone before. No, we’re not talking about the deepest, darkest depths of outer space, but a place much closer to home – the local ten pin bowling alley! Crazy Ball gives you three separate bowling lanes to play in every game, and if you beat the score achieved by the unseen Champion then you win a cash prize that could be as high as £200,000!
The appearance of the Crazy Ball online scratchcard game is exactly as you would expect, with three lanes viewed from the player’s perspective. Choose your stake for the game by adjusting the yellow arrows at the bottom of the screen and then press the Play button to let the bowling begin!
Initially there is a bowling ball sitting at the start of each of the three lanes. Above each lane is a prize panel and above these is a main Champion’s Score panel. Scratch the latter to reveal the score of the unseen Champion. You can scratch the Prize panel for each lane before you bowl or you can allow the panel to be revealed automatically when the bowling takes place. Either way, the figure in the Prize panel tells you how much you will win if your score for that lane beats the Champion’s Score that you revealed a moment ago.
Clicking a bowling ball starts the ball hurtling in the direction of the ten pins at the end of each lane. As the ball smashes into the pins the Score panel above the lane will tell you how many points you have scored. If it is higher than the Champion’s Score then you win the prize associated with that lane.
For example, if the Champion’s Score is 5 and you bowl a score of 1 in Lane 1, 6 in Lane 2 and 4 in Lane 3, your Lane 2 score would beat the Champion and you would therefore win whatever amount was hidden under the Prize panel for that lane.
The sound effects are realistic and animation is very smooth. Our only complaint about this game – and it isn’t a big one by any means – is that the ten pins always remain standing no matter what score you achieve. Don’t get us wrong, this is a great little game, but some animation of the pins actually falling would have really bowled us over!
Of course, when you win a prize you probably won’t mind the fact that the pins don’t actually fall! And because this is a Hopa game you can expect to bowl yourself a successful score fairly frequently, since 1 in every 3 scratchcard games at Hopa is a winner!
