Christmas Presents
The Christmas Presents instant win game at the National Lottery site gives you the opportunity to try your hand at being Santa. The game costs £2 to play (you can of course try it out for free) and gives you a 1 in 2.84 chance of winning a prize. The top prize is worth £70,000, so if you win that you’ll be able to afford as many mince pies, Christmas crackers and candy canes as your festive heart desires. Even better, you don’t have to wait until Christmas to play!
The Christmas Presents game card shows you a circuitous route around a village from an aerial perspective. To the right of the snowy scene you will find prize lines that show various festive symbols in silhouette. Each line contains a different number of symbols (anything from 2 to 8) and is associated with a different prize (£2 to £70,000). There are also two additional Instant Win lines – one consisting of three Christmas Trees and the other of three snowmen.
A die is situated at the bottom left of the game card and you have 9 rolls of the die in each game. Santa starts out at the bottom right of the card. Roll the die and Santa will move the corresponding number of spaces. If he lands on a blank space then nothing happens. If he lands on a snowman or Christmas tree then one of the silhouetted symbols will light up on the corresponding prize panel – light up three snowmen or tress to win £5 or £25, respectively.
If you land on a space that leads to a house then Santa will disappear down the chimney of that house and emerge a moment later with a present. That present will then be illuminated on all of the prize lines on which it appears. The aim, of course, is to light up all of the symbols on a prize line to win that prize.
If you land on a Star symbol then you get to play a mini game. This involves clicking on three snowglobes to reveal the cash prize amount hidden within each. Match three like amounts in true online scratchcards fashion if you and you will win that prize. You can, of course, continue rolling the die to try and win even more!
What we like about Christmas Presents instant win game (quite apart from the fact that Santa appears to take presents from houses instead of delivering them!) is the amount of festivity that it packs. Symbols are small but perfectly formed, animation is great and audio features plenty of jingle bells. Being able to win cash prizes by playing this game is just icing on the mince pie!
