Bowled Over
Bowled Over is a cricket-themed online scratchcard at Ladbrokes Casino, but you don’t necessarily need to be a cricket fan to enjoy it, and you certainly don’t need to know anything about cricket to play it. The Bowled Over scratchcard offers two games in one, but before we describe those we should first tell you a little about the scratchcard itself. When you have selected your stake and clicked the New Card button you will see seven highly polished cricket balls against a cricket pitch background. A column of three cricket balls on the left hand side of the card, along with another column of three cricket balls on the right hand side, are used to play Game 1. A larger cricket ball in the centre of the card is used to play Game 2.
Game 1 requires you to scratch the six cricket balls on the left hand right hand side of the card to reveal a cricket player. Underneath each of these cricket balls is a cricket bat, and as you click on each ball the bat will show the multiplier associated with the cricket player that you have revealed. The aim of this game is simple: find three matching cricket players and you win the multiplier value associated with that player, multiplied by your stake.
Game 2 is a little different. Click on the central cricket ball and you will bowl that ball towards a wicket. Your aim here is to hit the wicket, and if you achieve that (it’s all a matter of luck so don’t worry about having to develop any kind of cricketing skill!) then you will win whatever amount is hidden under the prize panel below. If you don’t hit the wicket then you don’t win – it’s as simple as that.
The graphics, animation and sound in Bowled Over are superb. Whenever you click on a cricket ball in Game 1 you will hear the batsman strike it soundly. When you click on the cricket ball in Game 2 you will hear it hurtling through the air toward the wicket. And if you win a prize playing either game the crowd of cricket fans with give you a very welcome round of applause.
