100m Champion
100m Champion is a very entertaining game at the Scratch2Cash site that focuses on eight athletes competing in a sprint race over a distance of 100 metres. In many ways the game is very similar to Super Hippodrome, but in this case the runners are human beings and not thoroughbred racehorses! As with all Scratch2Cash games you can adjust your stake at the outset, and the more you bet, the more you stand to win.
What makes 100m Champion a bit different is the fact that you can also choose to play several games at once – anything from 1 to 8, in fact! The odds of winning any prize (the maximum possible is £200,000) are 1 in 3, so if you choose to play several cards at a time you could well win a prize every time. We played the maximum of eight cards for the purposes of this review, and we won multiple prizes repeatedly. Clearly, if you enjoy the thrill of winning on a regular basis then 100m Champion is a game to take a good look at. The 100m Champion screen is divided into three main sections. The upper half of the game card shows the main racetrack on which the action takes place. The bottom left corner section shows the numbers 1 to 8 and a multiplier value for each. The rest of the lower section is reserved for your game cards. As mentioned in the introduction, you can choose to play 1 to 8 game cards, and the selected number of cards will appear on screen just as soon as you have made your decision.
When you press the Play button the cards you have selected are scratched automatically, and each one will show eight runners (each wears a different coloured shirt for ease of reference) in a particular order. A starting pistol will sound and in the upper half of the screen the eight runners will start racing. The animation and sound effects during this part of the game are superb. When the race has finished, the runners are presented in the order that they finished.
Okay, now here’s the important bit: to win prizes you need to have runners in the same positions on your game card(s) as they were in the actual race. For example, if you have a game card where the red runner came second, then you would win a prize if the red runner finished second in the actual race. The more runners you get in the right finishing positions on any given game card, the more you will win. How much? To find out, take a look at the bottom left of the screen and look at the number of runners that you have got in the right position. The multiplier associated with that number of runners is what you win, multiplied by your stake.
If you have played Super Hippodrome in the past then you will find 100m Champion to be child’s play. Even if you haven’t played a similar online scratchcard game before, 100m Champion is very user-friendly and you will get to grips with the basic idea in no time.
